The Lord is good to all…
The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look expectantly to You …
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him …
The Lord preserves all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
(Ps 145:1-21)
All is a really big word!
God is amazing in His person and in His capability. Today, He is at work in all – in each and every person! The estimated world population today is 6.76 billion people! That is a huge number…that I cannot even get my mind around. God knows each one. God’s work includes each and every one.
Would you read the verses above again…and ponder it for a moment. In each of the nearly 7 billion people in our world – God is working…personally. I believe this, but wow….it still amazes me. We are all in different places in life – and yet God is capable of meeting us each one, individually.
Sometimes in a church service, this thought will grab me – just for those of us who have gathered to worship. Each person there is different. Some are new believers and some very mature. Some faltering in their walk and some living near the Lord. Some are confused, hurt and questioning – others are rejoicing, worshipping and thriving. Yet in an amazing way – God is working with each. In a church service that God truly works in – God will meet each one, right where they are…so that they feel like the service was just for them. I don’t know how to express my wonder in this any better….but it amazes me…God amazes me!
This all includes you! God is not overlooking you today, God sees you, knows you and is at work. Today, I call you to see God’s faithful and personal touch in your life. Consider how the Psalm we are considering today, applies to you.
God is good to you. The all – includes you.
The Lord is good to all…
God is helping you. If you are struggling, God is seeking to lift you up.
The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
God is providing for you. Where you are in need – God is your supply.
The eyes of all look expectantly to You …
God is available to you. If you are seeking Him today…He is drawing near to you, personally! It is a faithful promise from God!
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him …
God is preserving His own. If you love Him, know Him and thus have a real and right relationship with Him – He is preserving you!
The Lord preserves all who love Him,
God is judging the wicked. If in spite of all God’s goodness, you reject Him…He will destroy you, personally. God’s loving care and His judgment….are personal and individual. Yikes.
But all the wicked He will destroy.
All is an amazing word that speaks of the greatness of our God. All includes you. Today, I call you to see it.
