Iran Releases Women From Jail

Iran on released two young women who fa= ced execution or at least life imprisonment for converting to Christianity = despite their Muslim background. Marzieh Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad and Maryam = Rustampoor were set free "after 259 days" from Tehran's notorious= Evin prison. "Words are not enough to express our gratitude to the Lo= rd and to His people who have prayed and worked for our release," the = two women said in a prepared statement.

 

 

Islamic Militants Kill=   Church Leader

Islamic militants have killed the leade= r of an underground church in Somalia's capital Mogadishu. Two "masked= members" of the militant al-Shabab group shot Pastor Ali Hussein Wehe= liye  while he was returning h= ome from a worship service. "The Islamists left the pastor for dead. H= e was later taken to Darful Shifa Hospital where he died of bullet wounds. = He was the 13th known Christian to have been assassinated in Somalia this y= ear. The pastor reportedly converted from Islam to Christianity in 1999 whi= le working in Somalia’s capital as a linguist.  In 2002, he star= ted pastoring an underground house church.
