More Christians Killed In Iraq

Christians in Iraq were mourning member= s of two Christian families who were killed in the northern city of Mosul. = On Tuesday, February 23, attackers drove by the home of one Christian famil= y in Mosul, firing shots at the dwelling from their car. Then they forced t= hemselves into the house and gunned down the entire family. They even threw= two bodies outside the house as a cruel warning for others. On the same da= y, the father and two brothers of an Catholic priest, Mazin Ishoo, were als= o murdered in their Mosul home.

 

Iran Government Closes Church

An evangelical pastor and eight other C= hristians were behind bars in Iran after authorities closed their church as= part of a new government crackdown on devoted Christians in the Islamic na= tion. Reverend Wilson Issavi and the other believers were arrested by Irani= an state security agents in the city of Isfahan. Issavi was visiting a= friend’s home  when sta= te security raided the house unannounced. "Reverend Issavi, his hosts = and others were apprehended by the security agents and immediately taken to= prison.
